August 27 Event Features Business Experts to Help Navigate Thorny Issues
C-Sweet, a rapidly growing organization with a mission to foster and renew executive level relationships for women across sectors in business and industry, today announced a new Webinar – Race Relations in the Workplace – set for Thursday, August 27, at 11:30 AM PST. With highly charged racial events happening this summer and COVID-19 "work from home" guidelines, face to face meaningful conversations with management and staff on issues of race is more difficult than ever.
C-Sweet has assembled two experts in Human Resources and Racial Equality to help individuals navigate thorny waters when it comes to racial tensions on the news to the workplace environment. Dr. Tana M. Session, author of "Working While Black: A Woman's Guide to "Stop Being the Best Kept Secret®" and Carolyn Sims, C-Sweet Executive Committee Member and Sr. Advisor with Southern California Edison, discuss these issues and more.
"Many people are afraid to talk about race at work because they are worried about saying something wrong or offending someone," said Dianne Gubin, President of Amplify Professional Services Inc, an executive search and IT consulting firm, and Co-CEO of C-Sweet.
