ROCKFORD (WREX) — A new brunch spot is set to open in Rockford. Sweet Basil Cafe is opening a new location at the site of the former T.G.I Friday's on Perryville Road.
According to the Sweet Basil Cafe website, the Rockford restaurant is a part of a five location expansion of the chain; Champaign, Springfield, Glen Ellyn and Forsyth are also set to become a part of the family owned and operated chain.
There are currently three locations: one in Peoria, Skokie and Riverwoods.
No information has been released about when the restaurant will be open or when construction is slated to begin.
Sweet Basil Cafe offers breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as catering options.
