Sweet Magnolias spoilers follow.
The first season of Netflix's Sweet Magnolias ended on a big cliffhanger following the car crash, so it'd be immeasurably cruel for the streaming platform to pull the plug before that question is answered.
Season two hasn't been confirmed yet, but it's still early days, and it's currently trending in multiple regions, which means the people want more.
"My hope would be that as soon as we can meet again, we would go right into [season two] once everything opens up," series co-executive producer Norman Buckley told The Sun.
"I don't know how Netflix makes their decisions, but it definitely would be good if we got a second season."
Chris Klein, who plays Bill, added: "I do believe it was always [executive producers] Dan Paulson and Sheryl J Anderson's goal to move this beyond the season one, and the way that the story fills out and fleshes out, we could definitely pick it up and tell more of these characters' stories.
"I, for one, really, really hope that we get that opportunity. Selfishly because I want to see what happens to Bill Townsend."
Here's everything you need to know.
Sweet Magnolias season 2 release date UK: When will it air?
With You Know What still hanging over both TV and movie productions, it's tricky to predict when the cameras will start rolling again.
Season one hit screens in May this year, so it's unlikely that a new batch of episodes would have hit screens before 2021 anyway.
But with numerous studios unwilling to return to work until it's safe to do so, we could be waiting quite a while for season two.
Sweet Magnolias season 2 cast? Who's in it?
If we do get a second chapter, we'd expect all of the following major players to be back: Maddie (JoAnna Garcia Swisher), Dana Sue (Brooke Elliott), Helen (Heather Headley), Bill (Chris Klein), Cal (Justin Bruening), Tyler (Carson Rowland), Kyle (Logan Allen), Annie (Anneliese Judge) and Noreen (Jamie Lynn Spears).
There's also the mayor's daughter Nellie (Simone Lockhart), who was potentially injured in the car crash, Dana Sue's estranged husband Ronnie (Brandon Quinn), her sous chef Isaac (Chris Medlin), who could also be her son, her head chef Erik (Dion Johnstone), and Helen's ex-boyfriend Ryan (Michael Shenefelt).
