Julianna Cesarano had visions of a uniquely special Sweet 16 replete with “Fire and Ice” theme at Ariana’s South in Richmond Valley.
But when the coronavirus struck, Julianna’s family members and friends took an alternate course.
Her parents, Jenn and Frank, brothers Frankie and Nicholas and sister Victoria brainstormed a fun family drive by on Sunday, May 24, Julianna’s actual birthday. And her boyfriend, John, thought he’d follow up with a second drive by where friends stopped to shower the “birthday girl” with all sorts of festive greetings and gifts.
A soon-to-be junior at St. Joseph by-the-Sea High School, Julianna plays volleyball and flag football at the Huguenot school.
“We made the best out of the circumstances we were given,” said Jenn. “The most important thing was that Julianna was surrounded by the people who love her most. That’s what really matters when all is said and done. Her smile was all we wanted.”
Julianna’s exclaimed: “ Although it was not the Sweet 16 I pictured, I had a lot of fun spending time with my friends and family on my special day!”
