Sequim High School golf ace Benjamin Sweet led from beginning to end to win the Clallam County Amateur gross championship.

Sweet, who finished 21st at the 2A state championship in 2019, golfed with the Youth on Course Olympic Peninsula Club. He shot a superb 70 in round one on Friday to start off with a three-stroke lead over Mark Morrow of the Peninsula Golf Club. He struggled a little Saturday, shooting a 79 in round two.
