Visions of the monarch propping up the bar in an East Anglian local may be seen as evidence that you have had a few too many. But while she may not be pulling the pints herself the Queen has launched her own beer.
Brewed with plants grown on the royal estate in Norfolk, Sandringham bitter is now on the shelves at the property’s gift shop, which has recently reopened after the easing of coronavirus lockdown measures.
Buckingham Palace has confirmed that the Queen has moved into brewing, with two bitters produced using organic laureate spring barley harvested from her gardens and spring water drawn from a nearby bore hole.
