Miralem Pjanic has taken to social media to once again express his frustration at his lack of game time at Barcelona in 2020-21.
The midfielder arrived from Juventus last summer in a weird old transfer that saw Arthur move the other way and lots of money change hands.
Pjanic was expected to challenge for a first-team spot but instead has been almost completely overlooked and has only made six league stats.
The midfielder has complained a couple of times this season about his lack of game time and still seems puzzled by his bit-part role.
“Honor the shirt. Respect the team. Give it your all on and off the pitch. This is what FC Barcelona deserves. This is what I have done with my colleagues since day one. This season leaves me with a bitter taste and questions that are still looking for answers. A hug to all the Catalans, see you soon. Forca Barça always.”
Pjanic said earlier this season that he didn’t really want to leave after just one campaign but may feel he has no choice if Ronald Koeman remains in charge. Speculation has suggested that clubs such as Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have already expressed an interest in the 31-year-old.
