Remember the good old days? No, I’m not talking about the “pre-COVID-19” days. I’m talking about recess and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I’m talking about the familiar smell of lunch boxes, wall-mounted pencil sharpeners, and multi-colored crayons.
I’m talking about that one time Mrs. Adams gave you a ‘B’ in art class for drawing robot space warriors destroying far away planets, even though you clearly deserved an ‘A’ because the composition was excellent and the cross-hatching was well above third-grader art quality.
Me? Bitter? Not at all … well, maybe just a little.
If you’re looking for artistic redemption, then shoot your shot at Border Brewing Co. — 406 E. 18th St., Kansas City, Missouri this Sunday from 12 to 8 p.m. and relive the good old days of arts and crafting, but with beer! Border Brewing has a wide range of beers to wet your whistle while you (art!) work, everything from a Strawberry Blonde Ale (4% ABV, 20 IBU), to a Philly Sour with Pink Guava (4.1% ABV), to a Shiftie (Imperial) IPA (8% ABV, 60 IBU).

Alma Mader Brewing — 2635 Southwest Blvd, Kansas City, Missouri — has released two beers.
