PEORIA (Heart of Illinois ABC) - A cold front will move through the area tonight and tomorrow morning, bringing a return to much colder weather for most of our 10 Day Forecast.
This frontal passage looks like a dry one, but we’ll see cloudy skies overnight with breezy conditions. Wind gusts could reach upward of 25 mph tonight and tomorrow.
Officially, our highs will be closer to 30 tomorrow, but that will be in the early morning hours. Temperatures will be closer to 20 by the time we wake up tomorrow.
These numbers will slowly but surely continue to drop throughout the rest of the day. We’ll likely stay in the teens for most of the day with single digit wind chills.
Wind chill values could drop as low as -10 to -15 Thursday morning. Highs will only reach the low to mid teens Thursday afternoon.
Friday will still be cold but we could see some slight improvements. Morning wind chills will be in the low single digits with afternoon highs in the 20s.
Expect a few chances for light snow this weekend and into early next week as a few clipper systems will drop in from the northwest. We could see chances for some minor snow accumulation with these, but we’re still a few too far out for any specifics.
Tune in this evening for your full First Alert 10 Day Forecast!
