The Kiwanis Club of Chardon hosts its 12th annual Corn Roast Sept.12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on historic Chardon Square. For a third year, the Corn Roast will be held in conjugation with the Harvest Handmade Market being sponsored by the Chardon Square Association.
The Corn Roast is held each year to celebrate the bounty of the growing season. The Chardon Kiwanis will be providing fresh sweet corn from hometown favorite Sage’s Apple Orchard and other items such as a delicious sausage sandwiches.
“The money raised through the Corn Roast helps support the Kiwanis club programs throughout the Chardon area,” said club member and event chairman Jim Rayl. “What is better than a wonderful afternoon with your family and friends, some local sweet corn, crafts and being able to go home knowing you helped your community.”
All are welcome to the annual end of summer event. For more information, visit www.kiwanisclubofchardon.org or call 440-537-4718. For more information about the Chardon Square Association, visit www.chardonsquareassociation.org.
