Good morning, everyone. Happy Friday.
Borussia Dortmund manager Marco Rose will make his return to Mönchengladbach, the home of his former club, this Saturday, and according to Ruhr Nachrichten, he expects to be met with quite a bit of acrimony from the fans, who considered his decision to leave Gladbach for Dortmund nothing short of a betrayal. He gave a pretty diplomatic answer at his press conference yesterday, saying that some people would be happy to see him (yeah, sure buddy) but acknowledged that he would need to focus on the game on the pitch, not in the stands.
The fact that Gladbach have started the season so poorly under Adi Hütter will only make the fans’ feelings more hostile. I’m sure they’d love nothing more than to beat their former manager this weekend.
Marin Pongracic to Stay with Dortmund?
According to Kicker, while Marin Pongracic is focused on performing well for BVB for the duration of his loan from Wolfsburg, he hopes that he can play well enough to earn a longer stay.
While Marin Pongracic hasn’t seen a ton of minutes, whenever he actually has played for BVB, he’s looked very impressive. If he keeps up this level of play, then a longer stay in Dortmund would surely be welcomed by all parties involved.
The Daily Buzz
Would you want Pongracic to stay in Dortmund on a more permanent basis if he plays well?
