Yeah, this is as good as it gets.
Four Year Strong absolutely love slaying it with a cover. They released a whole album of them after all.
But it's been a while since there's been a fresh one, yet the wait has been absolutely worth it.
The band have taken on the stone-cold classic 'Bitter Sweet Symphony' by The Verve and made it completely their own.
Where the original has wave upon wave of spine-tingling strings, FYS take those sounds and throw them against some crushingly joyous riffs. Then add in an impassioned vocal display and plenty of shirt-tugging vibrancy, and you have a proper winner.
Vocalist/guitarist Dan O'Connor had this to say about the cover choice:

Being able to create something that feels like FYS and having great foundations to start with was very fun."

The band released their latest full-length 'Brain Pain' last year via Pure Noise Records.

We still have some copies of the record on green cassette tape available exclusively through Rock Sound Records. You can pick one up from right HERE
