James A. Sweet, Jr., age 67, of Johnstown NY,
passed away on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Albany
Medical Center.
Born on May 14, 1954, in Gloversville NY, he was
the son of the late James Sr. and Mary Lou (Graff)
Sweet.
James proudly served his country in the United
States Navy. He was employed at Lee Dye in Johnstown,
Frontier, and was last employed at Ace Hardware
in Johnstown. James’ hobbies included wood
working, crafts, making clocks, science fiction, and
star trek.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Sweet; son,
James Sweet (Mariya), Christopher Sweet, Derek
Sweet; daughter, Stacy Sweet; brothers, Eric Sweet
(Stephanie), Gary Sweet (Chris), Roger Sweet
(Tina); grandchildren, Dalton, Alic, Kiley, Brandon,
Blake, Brantly; great grandson, Colton; as well as
several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, James is predeceased by
his brother, Russell Sweet.
In keeping with his wishes, there will be no calling
hours or funeral services.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date to
be determined by the family.
Interment with military honors will be held at
Saratoga National Cemetery at a later date.
Arrangements have entrusted to the A.G. Cole Funeral
Home Inc., 215 E. Main Street, Johnstown.
